the unexplored cameron highland..

i have been here for many times on bike since 1998. being a road marshall or tourist. we had always stayed in the 5 stars hotel, eat steam boat, visit tea, strawberry and cactus plantation. this time, i went up using the old route, realised alot of things. going up from Tapah was in Perek state. all hills and greens and orang asli. straight after crossing the state boundary into Pahang, there are buildings, shops, restruant and civilization. i turned into Bertam valley, where my friend was. Joyce and Joe. they were my supplier and friends. they were real nice! treated us for fresh dinner, let us and the bike which was wet and dirty into their NEWLY built house. everything was fresh as we can smell from the furniture. the bed and blanket was VERY new.

on 5th, after our breakfast, we went to do fishing. 1st time i caught a fish in my life. we stood behind the old land rover and drove along this under construction road. it was so fresh and everyone was busy along the road. we can see new settlement of the orang asli. the off road experince was very natural. everywhere was green and the road can only be travelled by their land rover. steep and bumpy. we stood behind, hiding and duging ourselves from the crossing branches ahead. there were tree felling project infront of us as i witness one of the big tree falling into the path of our landrover. i banged at the driver and he stopped in time. anyway... the tree did not fall into our path.

these are the unseen cameron highland experience that we will remember... these places cannot be reached by our bike easily... try riding a KTM 200 from singapore to here...

the fishes were to be cooked tonight. feel so homely and welcomed. we did not want to bother them much as they need to run the business instead of entertaining both of us the whole day. we decided to leave this homely place on 6th. sad...
