For our new readers:

Peru?

This is my 1st time visiting your blog and read through your blog for past hours.

Keep going and you will never walk alone!

You are one of the few Singaporean who embarked on RTW trip and I salute u for that. Your story remind me of a Singaporean traveller I know of who travelled for 18mths from Singapore to Europe (via Transiberian) then back to Asia. I bumped to him when me and my wife was in Hunza, Pakistan.

I love travelling too and I hope to have similar RTW trip next year though will not be by bike.

Your blog definitely inspired me and all the best. Sincerely hope that you will not end the trip prematurely! All the best and you really make Singaporean proud!

Hi Goh,

I went to Hunza around Oct 2008, much later than you and spend around 10 days there. I worked in Shanghai for past few years and after quitting, me and my wife went travelling for 3 mths in China and Pakistan then back Singapore. Initially, we intended to go down to India but change of plan as we thought citibank going to go bankrupt and thus went back to China to close the account.

Nevertheless, It's such a great experience and I think Pakistani (Northern part at least) are really one of the most friendly and hospitable people in the world and I'm sure you agree with me.

Ya.. Old Hunza Inn, we didnt stay there but went there for breakfast and that's where I bumped into the Singaporean (Just imagine, a Singlish accents ordering breakfast and I can recognised that instantly). We continued to travel together back to China and he overland back to Singapore via Laos, Thailand.. He travelled by public transport. So in the end, we are all now back to civilian life... :)

This is my blog: http://scenz.spaces.live.com/ but the last entry is when I was in Kashgar, before setting off to Pakistan. It's really a commitment to update blog constantly and I'm too lazy to keep up i guess.

For that friend of mine, you can visit his facebook: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/profile.php?id=571898353. I don't think he kept a blog, but he always had amazing tales to tell and never get tired of repeating that. haha..

Great knowing you and happy national day.
